We are currently looking for a Volunteer Social Media Administrator !

A Social Media Administrator serves as the brains behind an organization’s social media platforms. Working alongside the artistic director (s) and together with regional social media assistants, s/he writes and curates content designed to engage followers and promote the brand in a positive manner. A Social Media Administrator is responsible for creating and administering content on all social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, TikTok and the Atlantic Boychoir website to build an audience and ensure customer engagement. The Administrator may also monitor site metrics, respond to reader comments, and oversee creative design.Good time management, communication and social media expertise is required to do the job well. 


 Job Duties: The social media administrator creates and executes social media campaigns to promote the brand. S/he conducts research to see what competitors are doing and to learn popular trends to incorporate into the strategy. To ensure customer satisfaction, s/he must respond to complaints, questions and comments left on the company’s social media pages in a timely and appropriate manner. In addition, the social media administrator continuously monitors site analytics to see what types of content followers respond to the most and adjusts the strategy accordingly.


Qualifications and Experience: A social media administrator should be a creative thinker with a passion for social media. Some experience using popular platforms is a must, combined with a desire to keep up with current social media trends. Excellent writing skills and the ability to connect with key influencers is an important aspect of the job, to create engaging content and properly promote it.


Work Environment / Time commitment: The Social Media Administrator will be working remotely during his/her available time. An  @atlanticboychoir.ca email address and google workspace will be provided, together with log ins to all current platforms1 hour per week - reporting to  / liaising with Supervisor1 hour per week - liaising with regional assistants1 hour per week - responding to & updating  social media platforms.
